June 2, 2012 - Gloomy Saturday

Today was a rainy and gloomy saturday. We relaxed this morning and went to an autism fundraiser this afternoon. The kids had fun playing games and jumping in the bouncy castle. They were disapointed that they didn't win a prize, but it was a nice afternoon. I enjoyed seeing a couple friends from high school and helping support a great cause.

Today before we went out, the Baby pulled himself up to a standing position while he was playing.  At first I thought that the Boy helped him, so we asked him to put the Baby back on the floor, and waited to see if he would do it again, and he did!  So he's not crawling (forwards) but he is pulling himself up to a standing position.  I have a feeling he will not crawl at all!

May 31, 2012 - 8 Months Old Tomorrow

I can't believe how much Baby has done in his short 8 months on earth.  He can smile, laugh, grunt when he wants something, sit, roll, stand briefly with support and crawl (backwards only).  He still has no teeth and almost no hair.  What little hair he does have is soft and very light brown/blond with reddish tones.  His eyes are still blue and so far I can't find any birth marks on his chubby body.  He loves to be in the stroller, sit and play on the floor and use me as a jungle gym.  I am still nursing him every 3-5 hours, and sometimes more often at night.  He still drools, but I have noticed this getting better in the last week.   He eats so many different things now, and can even feed himself some things (cheese, cherios, puffs etc).  He loves water and we aren't planning on introducing juice until after a year old!  One thing about the Baby that still puts a smile on my face, is when he interacts with the Boy and the Girl.  He smiles with his eyes, if that is possible?  I look at him and his entire face is so happy to see them!
