December 3, 2012 - Sleep through the night already!

So I am exhausted.  The Husband is exhausted.  The Baby is exhausted.  The cause of the exhaustion is the Baby!  He is still not sleeping through the night.  I am not sure if it is the cough, which is still lingering from his bronchiolitis, or his teeth (he has been teething and drooling since two months old!), or he just misses us (we don't co-sleep anymore).  What ever the reason, I am so tired.  We have to get up a couple times a night and feed him (I know this is a bad habit, but it is the only way to get him back down).  Normally he goes back down easily for a couple more hours.  But feeding at 11:30pm (about 10 minutes after I fall asleep!) and 3am, and then the alarm clock goes off at 6am, is getting to me.  It wouldn't be so horrible if I didn't have to go to work.  If I was just staying home, I could manage it, and I did when I was home, but now I am at work, and I need to be alert when I am driving, and I need to not be nodding off at my computer in the afternoon!

Oh yeah, I forgot the photo again!!  Blame it on the sleepiness!

December 2, 2012 - Lazy Sunday

Today I was home with the kids.  This is an unusual for a Sunday.  Normally the Husband has them off, but he needs to work them once and a while.  I decided I was NOT going out with the kids.  It is getting way too hard.  So we stayed home and the kids cleaned their rooms, then we watched a movie.  After the movie I sent them to their rooms to actually clean them (they didn't the first time).  The Boy's idea of a clean room is pushing everything to the corners, under things or at the bottom of his closet behind the clothing.  I asked him if he cleaned his desk and he replied:  "I have to clean my desk too?  You just said my room!!".  I don't know about you, but I would assume that furniture contained inside the room would count.  But MY mistake for not being specific.  The Girl on the other hand mopes around her room, moves things around, and then comes and asks me to help her.  I have helped her clean her room in the past, I have given her the tools to be able to keep it organized.  I decided I would not help her anymore, and she of course cried when I told her.  I decided if I keep helping her, she will never do it on her own, or feel any responsibility for her mess.  I did provide some guidence, but I did not pick anything up.  Eventually she got it cleaned, and it looked pretty good!  Took her most of two days to do it!

December 1, 2012 - 14 Months Today!

Today the Baby is 14 months old. In the last month he has learned to walk and he is now working on at least one more tooth.  He is still pretty happy and is adjusting well to daycare.  He is exhausted at the end of the day and I don't get to spend much time with him.  I make the most of bath time and morning breakfast time.

Today I did a little Christmas shopping and my parents came over for dinner.  It was nice Saturday.  I am not sure how we are going to work in the remainder of the shopping.  Which is ALOT.
