January 10, 2012 - Skating, Swimming, School and Smiles!

Last night was the first night I pit the Baby in his crib. He lasted only 45 minutes, it's a start!

When I registered the kids for their winter activities I probably didn't really think about Tuesdays schedule too much. Now that it is Tuesday, I am wondering if there is too much going on so early in the week (Sparks, skating, swimming and Beavers all in three days!)

The Girl had her first skating lesson this morning right after I dropped the Boy off at school. This afternoon I picked them up from school and took them directly to their swimming class at 4:00pm.  It was so cute, when we arrived at the swim school, one of the Boy's friends ran over to him very excited to see him (even though it had only been 10 minutes since we left the school!  ahh to be 7 again!)  I suppose it is exciting to see your friends outside of school!

The Baby wasn't too interested in watching the Girl skate, it was cold in the arena.   At the swimming lessons, he decided to have a big spit up requiring another wardrobe change...he had more wardrobe changes today than the host of the oscars!

The Girl liked her swim class and her skating class.  She seems to be a natural at skating!  The Boy thought his swimming lessons were too hard.  He is under the impression that things get easier as you go!  Apparently the only thing that is harder in life is grade three, because he there is an EQAO test.   Why does the school continously remind then of this test?  My son is very concerned about it, and if he worries too much he tends to get "sick".

When I got home the Baby was all smiles and we both had a good laugh while I changed his bum. How many calories does an adult burn while smiling? Perhaps I'm onto a new diet craze?
