January 11, 2012 - Sunshine and Siblings

Today was a quiet day.  It was beautiful and sunny outside.  Another lovely January day!  I enjoyed my walks to the school and the Baby enjoyed his naps in the stroller.

I opened another of Baby's Christmas gifts today.  It is the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Soccer Ball.  It is really cute and the Baby smiled while the songs were playing.  I think when he is a couple of months older he is really going to like it.
I wanted to spend as much time at home as possible today.  We have been having some problems with breastfeeding lately.  He is a poor latcher and a lazy sucker, so my supply has decreased a lot.  He is now getting about 70% formula and I am pumping three or four times a day.  This is an improvement over last week, when he wouldn't even try and I couldn't even pump an ounce.  The doctor prescribed Domperidone.  Which is supposed to help increase supply.  Today was my second full day taking it.  I hope to see improvement in the next couple of days.

After school the kids always want to spend some time with Baby.  The Boy especially seems to miss him when he is at school.  The picture below is the three kids together.  The Boy is really great at holding the Baby and he will even bring him to me if he wakes up and starts to cry.  The Girl on the other hand always makes the Baby smile just by looking at him and giving him kisses on his head.  The Baby is really lucky to have such great siblings.  They are old enough to be able to take care of him, and I just know that when Baby is older he will really rely on their help.
