January 16, 2012 - Zombie Brains

The Husband is on holidays this week and the kids were off school today.  We couldn't think of anything interesting to do, so we all slept in.  I actually feel great from the couple extra hours of sleep, and the Baby slept from 11pm pretty much to 7am.  I think I fed him once, but it doesn't count if I didn't acutally have to wake up to do that.

Today's picture of Baby has him wearing a cute pirate themed outfit.  I love the matching hat and shoes.  Too cute.  I remember when I got this outfit for the Boy and it is hard to remember that he was that small.

I decided when I got up that I would use my new elliptical for the first time, I am proud to say I did 6.5 minutes, which burned a whopping 73 calories.  I will need to work up my stamina, I am hoping to make it an hour.  Tomorrow I should be able to hit 8 minutes!

Today was another unseasonably warm January day.  We went for a walk and had lunch at Tacotime.  The photo on the right was taken on our walk.  We passed by some crazy tall grass near the river, and I just had to take a picture of the kids standing next to it.  The boy is just over four feet tall.  So you can see how tall the grass is.  Crazy!  The food at Tacotime was meadocre and the service was interesting.  It was close to home so it is convienent and the prices were average.  I think the restaurant isn't normally busy so we caught the two ladies off-guard when a family of 5 walked in to order lunch.

Tonight while the Girl was at Sparks, the Boy played with his Zombie Lab.  He is getting good at following the directions and doing the experiements by himself.   The photo on the left (don't mind the messy kitchen!) shows him eating the "brains" that he prepared on his zombie head.  The thought is gross, but apparently the candy is good.
