May 17, 2012 - Day Six - Harry Potter and the Hulk
Today we went to Universal Studios Island of Adventure. It is the newest Universal Studios theme park and it was pretty great. The park is geared to older kids and I have to admit there was more for my 7 year old than my 5 year old. I thoroughly enjoyed the rollar coasters. Hulk was fantastic. The Harry Potter area was amazing, I felt like I was in Hogsmede! The kids and I had fun on the Jurassic park water ride, the fall at the end was thrilling!

We also had Butterbeer, which was so sweet, cold and delicious. I rode on the Harry Potter Experience, Dragon Duel and the Hulk using the single rider line, and I had no wait time at all. It is an awesome way to do the rides, especially when the rest of your group is too chicken to ride the big coasters with you. The Dragon Duel in Harry Potter had an amazing first climb and drop. Plus you were riding with your feet hanging down, which is always a fun way to ride a really high coaster. The Hulk ride was very long and definately thrilling. It was fast yet it seemed as though each of the turns was in slow motion and you could tell that you were upside down! It also dips down very low and goes through a tunnel of fog, which is brief but refreshing. It wasn't as long a day as Disney was, but I think we all appreciated that!
