We had dinner at Crabby Bills on a reccomendation by the visitors centre. It was really yummy. We shared a plate of fried alligator with infernal hot sauce (yummy but a little hot for me), and chips and guacomole (delicious). I had a special that started with clam chowder and then had two very crabby crab cakes. For dessert, my special came with a large molten lava cake. I shared it with the kid because I was so full!
May 18, 2012 - Day Seven - Clearwater Beach!!
This morning we got up slowly and got into the car to visit Clearwater Beach. The drive was about 2 hours long, but it was a part of Florida we hadn't visited yet, and it was quite beautiful. We took a longer ride to the beach and the more direct route back. This allowed us to go over two large bridges, which I find interesting, even if the kids won't look up from their movie and look outside of the car!!
The beach itself was pretty, the sand was warm and white and the water was so warm, it must have been close to 90 degrees in the shallow water. The kids met another little boy and played with him in a very shallow pool near the peir. The Baby wasn't as thrilled with the Gulf as he was with the pool, I think he got splashed one too many times!
