Tonight we had a party for the Baby. His actual birthday is on Monday, but since I am back to work, the Husband is working and the kids have school, I decided to have the party a couple days early. My parents came over after dinner and we sang happy birthday, watched the Baby eat cupcakes (and make a lovely mess), then we opened presents. It was a very nice evening and the Baby seemed to like his presents. Although the older kids wanted to play with his toys, and often took them away from him. I know they are just trying to get attention, and the day was all about the Baby. But they really need to learn to let him play with his toys on his own! He also liked to play in the box that his toy came in. He crawled inside the box all by himself. The older kids were trying to put his present together, it was cute. They tried but when the instructions say: adult assembly required, they really mean it!!
