Today we left Savannah, Georga at about 9:30am after having the Clarion's continental breakfast. We knew that there was a long drive ahead of us, our plan was to make it all the way to Richmond, Virginia by the evening. Traffic was light and the Husband's foot was heavy. We stopped three times! For lunch, we stopped at the South Carolina welcome centre and were stalked by Canada geese. Then we stopped for two bathroom/coffee breaks before arriving at the Comfort Inn in Richmond at 5:30pm. 
The room was great, with two bedrooms, and our room had a king sized bed and our own washroom. The other room contained two queen-sized beds and another washroom. The kids and their Aunt shared the other room, and the Husband, the Baby and myself shared the king sized bed. There was plenty of room in the big bed for the three of us, and there was even room in the bed when the Girl crawled into bed with us during the night!
When we arrived we rushed off to dinner at Shoney's, I enjoyed my bacon cheeseburger and the kids liked their pasta. The Husband had chicken fried steak and a strawberry sundae for dessert. After dinner we went for a swim before hitting our beds for a good night sleep before our big day in Washinton the next day.
